Hamsterley Forest 10km & Half Marathon – Sunday 20th October 2019

The Hamsterley 10k And Half Marathon takes place in the Forest Drive and other forestry which is largely flat, the race is a large loop which turns and comes back to the start/finish area at the Nest Car park near the middle of the Hamsterley Forest drive. Chip timing will be used on this accurately measured scenic route . All finishers will receive a medal and an optional race tshirt is available at extra cost.
Registration Will Take Place at the Start/Finish Area – Near Grove Car Park, Hamsterley Forest south, Bedburn, Bishop Auckland DL13 3QN

Car Parking

Follow Signage to Car Park from the surrounding roads then Signage to Registration.


A Bag Drop Area is Located at the Registration Area, Baggage is Left at your own Risk and is Sometimes Not Manned. Please put your Own Labels on any Baggage with Name and Race Number on.

Portable Toilets

Will be Located at Registration and on course Portable Toilets Available.


No Headphones, Please Keep to the left Hand Side and Allow Fast Runners to Pass you on the right.

This is an Undulating to Hilly Good Path 10k Lap Race.

Half Marathon Runners Complete 2 Full Laps and a Part Section

10k Runners Complete 1 Full Lap.

Full UKA Permit (Pending), with a Course Accuracy Certificate

Feed Stations

A Feed Station will be Placed at Least Every 3.1 Miles. they will be Stocked with Paper Cup Water, Electrolyte Drink, Various Sweets, Chocolate & Cake. You can also Leave Personal Nutrition at the feed station at Registration.

Half Marathon 10:00am – £30 UKA Affiliated £28

10k 10:30am –  £20 UKA Affiliated – £18

On the Day Entry if Available £2 Extra

All Finishers Receive a Bespoke Medal, Free Unlimited Digital Photo Downloads.


Finisher Shirts & Hoodies are Available to Purchase at Registration Charged at £10 for Technical Shirt and £20 for a Hoodie.
