Kilburn 7 Road Race – Sunday 7th July 2019

Race Report by Sarah Roe

The Kilburn Feast 7 Mile Road Race is an undulating, scenic route overlooked by the White Horse held within the North York Moors National Park. Hosted by the scenic village of Kilburn as part of their annual fete, it has become a firm fixture for many members and is a great day out for the whole family with traditional stalls and activities including face painting, a Punch and Judy show and even a duck race!  There are also free sandwiches, tea and cake for all finishers – highly recommended for next year if you’ve never done it before.

As what appears to have become the norm for this event, the sun was shining although slightly less oppressive than the past couple of years.

Liam Aldridge put in a fantastic performance in a strong field taking 3rd position, followed by Andy Chadfield in 6th who also took the V45 prize.

Sarah Roe dug deep to claim 3rd lady in the final half mile, whilst Erika Enisz picked up the V70 prize.

A good day out for “Marsh House Harriers”.
